A beautiful antique1920's French made celluloid & crocheted silk purse.The cream colored double sided celluloid frame features a detailed colored Asian motif with two ladies (possibly Geisha) seated at tea in a garden. The celluloid chain is completely intact and the frame is in lovely condition. The coloring on one side is more vibrant than on the other. The silk crocheted body is a light peach color and is in good condition with some minor age related discoloration. The interior is a brillant purple. It has a push button opening mechanism. Marked on both sides of frame "made in France". The body of the purse is 9 1/2" by 7" and the frame is 5" long. This flapper era beauty is a rare find indeed!
