I found this piece in an estate in Providence RI in large brick Georgian colonial. The family didn’t know much about the piece and said to have someone else appreciate it as it didn’t have sentimental value The bottom of the pin does NOT test gold. The hand done top does and it tests 10k gold. When you get it you will be able to see the difference on the top of the pin when it gets to the gold. This is all hand done The back has the woven hair and it is encased unclear clear plastic like material. It’s not glass. It’s bubbled in shape. I just can’t get over the age and detail and hand work on this pin Measurements are shown in pictures I have been an antique dealer for decades.
