Vintage Konyak Nagaland Red Coral Color Glass Beaded Tribal Necklace

Impressive necklace handcrafted by the women of Nagaland, Konyak tribe. Nagaland is a state in Northeast India bordering Burma.There are many tribes in Nagaland, and their history is fantastic and worthy of explored reading. This necklace was part of a large purchase from an old retiree who loved to travel. This necklace is of tiny glass seed beads in a red coral color woven into linen or cotton and attached with an Indian coin made into a button dated 1953. The necklace is approximately 20inches long, comprised of 42 strands, and is 2 inches wide when ¹laid flat. It's in excellent vintage condition and weight is 167 grams.
