Collectible North Carolina Hog Hill Pottery Glazed Handmade Bowl Dish John Post

John Post, and his wife Scottie Post, are the potters - artists - of Hog Hill Pottery. They are full time potters who have been creating beautiful hand thrown, hand painted, hand glazed stoneware since 1993. The piece offered here, a multi color handled dish/bowl was made by John and is signed by him. I really like it, but to tell the truth you are going to have to decide what the colors are from the pictures. I am not exactly sure what the colors are — is this a man problem? — and I don’t want to lead anyone astray. The pre-owned piece is approximately 7” across including the handle and approximately 2” tall. So just where is Hog Hill Pottery located? Vale, North Carolina. Vale is located in two counties. Hog Hill Pottery is located in the Catawba county side of town. Catawba has a very long and rich history of potters, beginning with the Native Americans called the Catawba.
