Vintage Composition Doll Fabric Body Heavily Painted Face Eyelashes Antique

Very authentic, older doll. The head, arms and legs are composition, with a cloth torso. Dolls were made like this for children to carry, as all composition would be too heavy. There is significant crazing on her arms, no broken fingers, but the legs are in remarkable condition. I would date this doll between 1930's - 1940's. Her face is heavily painted and her eyelashes are bristle soft. The hair is messy and brittle and the shoes are in very poor condition. She does have damage on the top of her forehead, with peeling, probably from being dropped. She also has a small raised blemish on her right cheek. Her clothes look original, and are in very fragile shape. There are no markings I can find on the head or on the back. She is approximately 24" tall. Buy with confidence, careful packaging promised.
