This Authentic Black Coach Leatherwear Slim Duffle with Brass Hardware is close to 50 years old! Dates back to the mid to late 1970’s. The number under the creed is a serial code; that number is specific to this bag only. Rare, it predates the style number 9060. For being an old girl, this vintage slim duffle is in VERY GOOD used condition. Has one small spot (less than 2 inches) where the stitching has come loose on the trim near the buckle. This can easily be repaired by a cobbler. There is no damage to the bag, and shows normal wear. Missing original hangtag. From my personal collection, I have owned this for a long time. Was well cared for, cleaned and conditioned recently. ABOUT THE CREED AND SERIAL. NUMBER according to http://vintagecoachbags.com Mid to Late 1970s Coach® creed, printed in all caps, reads: THIS IS A COACH BAG. IT IS MADE OUT OF A COMPLETELY NATURAL GLOVE TANNED COWHIDE. THE SCARS, SCRATCHES, VEINS AND WRINKLES ARE NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF FULL GRAIN LEATHERS. In the creed, there should be gaps between the words: “scars, scratches, veins and wrinkles.” Under the Coach® Creed is printed: “MADE IN THE UNITED STATES” or “MADE IN U.S.A.” The serial number is unique to each bag and does not correspond to the style number. A few styles feature “MADE IN U.S.A” printed under the creed and have serial numbers that consist of eight numbers without a dash. Comes from a smoke free home. I appreciate reasonable offers!
