Printing the 1460 boot with one of his most celebrated pieces, ‘Untitled’ (1982) Dr. Martens is paying tribute to the man that changed how the world looked at art. Artwork is printed across the Smooth leather quarters and sock liner and is detailed with Basquiat’s symbolic crown motif on the backstrap. Finished with our iconic black and yellow scripted heel loop and sole pad print. These were going to be my personal pair but have been in the closet for over a year and not worn. I did replace laces due to losing the originals. No wear on soles, scuffs or staining. Durable and famously stiff to start, our Smooth Leather can be polished to a dapper shine or artfully scuffed-up depending on your preference. Our Goodyear-welted lines are heat-sealed at 700°C and reinforced with our signature welt stitch.
