1greatjen1210 The Height of the Heels are 2 1/2 inches or about 6.2 cm. The straps are soft to touch on the inside however I am not sure they are real leather as the writing on the inside straps have some fading making it hard to read. If I had to bet I would say these Olu Kai shoes are not real leather. I will research this later on their website if it makes a difference for you as a potential customer or other customers. 1greatjen1210 The difference between size 8 and 8.5 (8 1/2) is 1/6 to 1/8 inch per research done. With sandals such as these Olu Kai sandals this is not crucial because they are completely open toed and not fitted as regular closed shoes. I hope this answers your question well.
