Max Studio Leon Max Collection 90s flowy black mock neck maxi dress - size S

This dress is an original from the Leon Max Collection, which Max Studio founder, Leon Max launched in 1987, the year he won the California Designer Award. I bought this wonderful black crepe dress from that collection in a Max Studio store some time around 1990. I'm not sure when Max Studio went bankrupt but this dress was from this "classy couture group of rayon, silk and crepe eveningwear and cultured suits" Max Studio then was not the Max Studio now you find in outlet and rack stores. It was award winning, high style boutique clothing. And this dress? It's SO versatile, throw on the right accessories and it's ready for the prom or other dressy evening wear or black tie special event. You can wear it with lug boots and your jeans jacket - or a wide statement belt and boots from the office to dinner. It's classic, basic and made to last forever.
