Here is a great chance to own a piece of the Titanic. A US Federal Court ruled that the Coal which fueled the Titanic on her maiden voyage is the only rescued artifact that may be purchased by the public, making it a valuable piece of historic memorabilia. Its scarcity, authenticity, and historical significance provide a unique opportunity to hold history in your hand. As the Titanic is considered a graveyard at sea, laws to ensure the sanctity of the deceased have prohibited the selling of property other than coal. This was part of a vintage lot that I was lucky to find and frame. To assemble this relic card, the coal sample was trimmed from one of the documented Titanic coal pieces which is shown in image 4. (The boxed original coal is not included, just to show the origins of the coal sample in the frame) Certificate documentation is included. The frame is wood with a padded shadow box design.. It is ready for hanging or displayed on a table top as it has an easel that can swing out as shown. The size of the display is 9 1/2" by 7 1/2".
