STANGL Fruit and Flowers Center Handle HAND PAINTED Serving Platter Tid Bit Plate Tray This vintage lovely serving platter is in very good condition! It just has some wear on the gold handle.It is only noticeable if you look specifically for it (see last photo.) there is a tiny paint mark on the edge near the rim. It looks like a scratch, but it’s not.(see next to last photo.) 10” Diameter, 4.75” handle, height,. It weighs about 1 lbs 11 oz. This is a STANGL, hand painted, serving plate with center handle, in the Fruit and Flowers pattern, circa 1954-1978. Stangl pottery was hand loaded into the kiln and placed on kiln pins. A hallmark of Stangl design was that the pattern was scratched into the piece (sgrafitto) and then hand painted. Due to the handworked nature of the pottery, no two pieces are exactly the same. The mark on the bottom reads, ”VIII Stangl Pottery Trenton, NJ Fruit and Flowers ”. Please take a look at all photos as they are part of the item description.
