kaylawys @awingmom sure! I was confused too. I'm typically an 8-10 size in tops and pants but went off of measurements and measured as a Large in this dress instead of a medium. My bust at the time was a 40 which matches with the bust of the large. The hips in this dress didn't matter much to me since it has a loose waist and not a tight fitting dress if that makes sense. I'm 5'9" and didn't need to get it hemmed to shorten.
