Repurposed Camera Desk Lamp Insta-Flash Camera

This unusual camera was manufactured by the George Herbert Camera Co. of Chicago in 1950. America was already interested in science fiction and UFO sightings. only five years after the first atomic bomb was dropped, the design of this camera was very much a blend of futuristic military with a little art deco mixed in. OK it's strange but oddly charming. I've softened that with a textured charcoal wood base and a soft gray lampshade. I think it works!
