The Baby Brownie Special is beautiful example of an Art Deco Camera. Created by famed designer Walter Dorwin Teague (1883-1960), he was described as "The Dean of Industrial Design". He created many of Kodak's most beautiful cameras. This very affordable camera originally sold for $1.50 and was an excellent value for families struggling during the Great Depression. Using inexpensive 127 roll film it instantly became a runaway success for Kodak.
This lovely camera has now been repurposed into a quirky lamp, the sustainable wood base has been first painted white then a light coat of grainy textures of brown hues has been applied then glazed twice for a smooth yey bumpy feel. I've added a sharp white lamp shade with brown highlights. The included light bulb is a warm 40W LED claimed by the manufacturer to last up to 13 years. For babies to old folks this lamp is "The Bees Knees!"
