rosencookie Is this white or pale gray? Thx

breathe234 @rosencookie it's the gray. The bottom two are the actual item and the top two are from the West Elm site and in the actual color, which is lighter than in real life. :) Hope this helps! We have a few in our house (I tend to buy in bulk when I like something.. ooph) and they get a lot of action 'round here.

kep289 @vkumra Is it super soft once washed? I have the WE waffle linen duvet in Ash (gray) that I’m hoping to complement, so glad it’s actually darker than the stock image. Also have the TENCEL sheets in Frost Gray but they’re such an odd griege color — I prefer more flagstone & graphite grays. Thx!

breathe234 @kep289 you are speaking my language! I just slept on the WE Tencel sheets for the first time last night and took em off today and put my Cozy Earth back on. Washed the Tencel and they came out much duller and not silky anymore. The blanket is super soft washed. Let me take a pic of it around on various linens I have right now on my beds and I'll put em up. :) Give me 15 minutes.

breathe234 @kep289 Okay, so the green is Linoto Forest Green linen, the 5th photo is against a blue smoke and white pillows and a sage pillow. The 6th photo is great, it's my daughters bed... what you're looking at is white linen sheet, the WE blanket, Anthro linen quilt in "natural" and then the one that looks JUST THE SAME COLOR? That's the Parachute cloud gauze quilt with pink on one side and the gray on the other. It's identical to that gray, so if you know that blanket, you know the color exactly.

breathe234 @kep289 the final photo (#7) is to show it against a greige.... this is Libeco, so it's a linen pottery barn uses and probably pretty close to the WE you have. I hope this was helpful!

rosencookie @vkumra thank you for your reply and offer. I was hoping it was white.

kep289 @vkumra You, your daughter & I definitely speak the same bedding language! Besides the “top” WE waffle linen & shams in Ash, I also sleep on a PB Flagstone linen duvet, with PB Euro shams in a gray linen, RH graphite gray crinkle linen shams & bed cover/scarf & then a soft pink 22”. Oh yeah, I put a RH Queen Lounger stonewashed linen sham in Stone on my Casper Back Rest pillow. I redid my bed when I got new mattress & adjustable frame — almost there… two years later!

kep289 @vkumra And the WE TENCEL sheets are… awful. I had to use a fabric shaver on them every time I washed them from the fuzz conundrum & I sweat so much in them! I love TENCEL but I just can’t with those sheets… how I ended up on a linen duvet instead of a fitted sheet — like a hybrid Scandinavian sleeping version, LOL.

breathe234 @kep289 isn't bedding so much fun? I'm a huge fan of linen too, and PB and RH do a good job. Linoto is my favorite but I'll tellya, if you haven't tried the Buffy Hemp duvet yet, you might think about it because I am soooo surprised at how much I like that one! Mixing and matching fabrics seems to be the key to the perfect nights sleep. :) I love your touch of pink in there! Gotta have that!

kep289 @vkumra Bedding is the best! It accidentally turned into an extended obsession for me when I got my new Sealy with adjustable frame — didn’t realize I end up down a rabbit hole of research on fabrics. Strangely, the first time I bought linen duvets for my Hotel Collection down comforters. Long tangent short, linen won & I’ve never been the same.

kep289 @vkumra PB & RH definitely win but I loved the WE mini waffle weave. And the Parachute aesthetic. The pink sham/down 22” is courtesy of my mother since she said the monochromatic gray needed a “pop of color.” I will definitely check out Buffy’s hemp, too. Oh yeah, I’m so excited for my new gauzy cloud heaven blanket! YAY! (And just had to do 2 comments since I was ranting about bedding over 500!)

breathe234
breathe234 @kep289 haha! keeping it to 500 is impossible! Parachute is great and has the best colors! We would be good friend, I can tell. My first linen was a Parachute and like you, it was over ... then I got the Cozy Earth Bamboo and that changed my life sleep wise (have the linen coming to try out I'll let you know) but now I'm heading to WE for deeper looks at the waffle. :) I had an RH linen waffle that was getting thready so I died it tangerine and use it at the foot for the dogs. Ritdye for the win

kep289
kep289 @vkumra Agree, we would definitely be friends! Not only do we speak the same linen lingo, we also both create bespoke bedding — I love Rit Dye! Definitely check the WE waffle linen, as it’s the “mini weave” so the boxes are smaller but it gets sooooooooo soft with the most incredible texture.

kep289 @vkumra The only downside was the initial “shedding” while breaking it in — the linen dust was annoying but it subsided… I’ve had sleep challenges since I was 13 so it worth it to me to finally figure out my dream bed. The two of us should host a “bedroom makeover” show on HGTV or Netflix. Seriously. 🌻
