Blue Blood 1955 501XX LEVI’S Big / Capital “E” Indigo Blue Jeans PERHAPS THE ONLY PAIR WORLD WIDE FOR SALE! Made in the USA Redline selvedge / selvage denim Size: 34x34 (actual 33 x 33) Actual measurements: 16.5 across the waist; 11.5” rise; 33” inseam (cuffed) 8.5” leg opening. 100% cotton Single cuff, long roll (the cuffs were sewn in place when new) Five pockets Hidden rivets on back pockets Button-fly (554 imprinted on the first button) Two Horse Patch (made of heavy duty card stock) Copper rivets Off-white interior pockets All original men’s LVC Blue Blood 1955 501 denim jeans, made in the USA of 100% cotton. These highly collectable Levi’s, which were made in the historical Levi’s factory in Texas, were released in the fall of 2003 as part of the LEVI’S Vintage Clothing Collection. I bought these jeans personally at the Levi's Icon Store in Barcelona 2003. At that time they were only available at the 5 icon stores in Europe. When new, these jeans were very very dark (almost black!) and lightly waxed and they still retain their very unique and awesome antique blue indigo and much of the wax. As these have a single stitch arcuate, some has come unstitched as per the original 1955 model. Rare and Limited to very few pairs... LVC Levi's Vintage Clothing

cityboyluke @montiens As these have a single stitch arcuate, some has come unstitched as per the original 1955 model. arcuate still visible though...not bad for a model from 2003! will post pics.

montiens
montiens Sorry blue blood lol
Oct 17Reply
cityboyluke
cityboyluke @montiens blue blood was the model name LVC gave them. Something to do with the indigo being very dark and then the denim was kinda "waxed"

cityboyluke @montiens 554 was the original number on this model and would have denoted the factory. in this case 554 is/was Texas.
Oct 17Reply
cityboyluke
cityboyluke 555 was the San Fran factory. 554 was the San Antonio Factory. 553 was somewhere in NC. yep.. I know my denim! ha ha ha anything with 55X is USA made.

Nov 08Reply
montiens
montiens Just curious I still want jeans anyway
Nov 08Reply
cityboyluke
cityboyluke @montiens they won't shrink at all really. wash cold and air/line dry. no need to soak them. you can hand wash them if you feel you need to. wear the hell out of them and get some great fades over time.
Nov 08Reply
cityboyluke
cityboyluke @montiens they have been washed, they were preshrunk by the factory to get the right feel and look of 1955...
