An Authentic WMF (Wurrtembergische Metallwarenfabrik) Polished Copper and Brass Wine Jug with lid. WMF is a world renowned and collectible manufacturer of metal tableware, founded in 1853 in Germany. Well over 100 years old, this is full of charm, gorgeous detailing on the handle and the spout, a very iconic German Jugendstil / French Art Nouveau Style. It is marked at the bottom with the WMF Logo (a running ostrich in the triangle) and catalogue number 47. There is an inscription in German indicating this was made as a competition prize in 1903.
