careylee Gorgeous bag though, love the blue! With the strap removed I wonder if I could find a gold chain strap that would look right to hook on the loops to make a short bag.

heapster @careylee There are tons of options out there. I'd go with a chain with triangular/square connectors with sides wide enough to fit flush to the ends or you can just have have extra holes professionally punched to existing strap (at the ends and at the buckle 2-3" at each spot). This blue might be challenging to match. Have you tried knotting at the ends?

careylee That could work too. It's great as a cross body, I just like the option of short shoulder bag. When removing the strap the gold loops remain on the bag? How exactly does the strap remove? Thanks!

heapster Hi! I just took it out to re-examine. Yes, the gold loops stay attached. The strap is in 2 parts and detaches by puling each end out through the slits. You can configure the longer part (32") however you want. I actually like it carried close to the body when you double the strap. Of course you can also buy a chain strap - just make sure the gold tones match. The chain in last photo is a tad softer gold but you can have it if you want.
