A stunning Satsuma style vase made in China. Lovely scenes of Geisha cover two sides while panels of beautiful brightly painted flowers flank them. Also note the gold details. This a very ornately detailed vase done in the Moriage style.
Moriage is a style of decoration used by porcelain manufacturers during the late 1800s/early 1900s. It is the art of laying"beads" of porcelain on the item prior to firing in the kiln.
Approximately 9.5” tall x 4” diameter at the widest point.
There is no stamp but it has a sticker reading “F 15016-1 Made in China”.
Pristine vintage condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or paint loss.
