Hello, how are you? I hope all is well with you and your family. =^_^= It has been 30 months since my Wife of 17 years passed away, and it has been difficult to come to terms with. She accepted me for who i am, every aspect, with which i am most grateful. One way to deal with it has been to promote Her ideas and works, to illustrate the passion and creativity that She had, and to share it with the world. I have listed 75+ Pendants, Bracelets, Earrings and Brooches that She made, from raw materials to the finished product, in this Poshmark Closet. She was a well-known Silversmith and Glass Artisan, who relished making these pieces with a keen eye to detail and an overarching vision of classic Bauhaus and Art Deco styling. She wanted to create jewelry that anyone could wear with pride, jewelry that lasts and that make a statement...and I think my Queen accomplished that. There are separate posts listed in this Closet, which illustrate in more in-depth detail how my Wife made these beautiful works of wearable art. Thank you for perusing this Memorial, and this Poshmark Closet as well. Please feel free to leave a comment if you wish, and I hope you have a great day! *this post is a memorial post, not meant for purchase*

jackic60 What a beautiful tribute! I am drawn to your wife’s story for so many reasons. I too have been a jewelry craftswoman for many years, and I currently have a friend who works with dicronic glass. Your gorgeous fluffy panther Maya!! Just like me,a blond with big feet lol. Also I loved you telling the story of 1X-3X!! Exactly like my closet…

jackic60 Also I would like to add…though I LOVE many things I am especially interested in the black Hoka’s!! I’m not financially able to buy everything at once but picked some “likes”. That way I’ll be able to find them again! The jewelry is gorgeous, I think I’m going to get the pink earrings but that butterfly brooch is AMAZING and SO unique. Pretty expensive for me though and it’s definitely worth it….

contessa_maya @jackic60 I sincerely thank you for your sweet words...I sense a kindred spirit within you, burning with creativity and passion for the arts. ♥ =^_^= She started crafting jewelry in 1996, beginning with beading, then wire-wrapping dichroic glass cabochons, and then soldering Solid Sterling Wire and Bezels together. And you can imagine how hot our house got, firing these cabochons with 5 kilns going...but art is not painless, just like beauty. :)

contessa_maya @jackic60 She was always a full-figured woman, going back to the 1970s...when it was more difficult to find clothes. This is why when she liked certain clothes, I told her to get the same thing in more than one size, just in case her weight fluctuates higher or lower. I am glad that she heeded My advice, for when Fashion Bug went out of business and Avenue & Catherines went online only, she had clothes that she liked, despite losing weight.

contessa_maya @jackic60 At her job, she had to work while standing, about half of the time. Before Hoka shoes, her preferred shoe was the New Balance 609...but she would complain of being tired after a long day. Hokas changed that, for she was then able to go to Craft Stores, Antique Shops, Restaurants, etc., after work. No longer was she tired, the shoes themselves helped *that* much.

contessa_maya @jackic60 I will withhold the Black Hoka shoes for you, you deserve to have shoes that fit and won't make you tired. Go ahead and get the earrings or whatever else you like...again you deserve quality works of art that is as unique as you are. And I know she would want her pieces to go to those who appreciate these pieces, *especially* a fellow artist. ♥ Thank you again, and please have a great day!

heart_of_viana It is evident that your wife had a passion for her craft. The detail and quality of her work is so impressive and she was always trying to learn more. I truly enjoyed watching your show and hearing about what goes into the making of her jewelry. Can't wait to see more shows, have a nice weekend. 🙂
