I was an 8.5 when bought them, but several months later when I put them on for a dress fitting discovered my shoe size was absolutely a 9, and the 8.5 size would not work for the wedding. Never worn on real ground or for more than 20 minutes. Final photo posted shows the single sign of wear that over a year later still doesn't come out.
