@marishima hi! I'd say it's both! It's warm like a fall or cold weather coat, and it also makes a bold statement as an oversized blazer/coat! I'd call it a stadium coat or car coat.

I would call it a coat vs dress because there is only one set of buttons. the pockets are deep, and my Samsung in its case fits completely in the pocket.
