Boots are mink oiled (I do this to all my boots as it keeps the boot longer) so this may make the leather look and feel different the first few times wearing but longevity keeps the boots longer :) **if there is a white residue this is what this is— if you prefer I take it off I can before shipping I just like to keep it on because it protects the boot (especially when getting transported) — can easily be wiped off with a wash cloth Never worn by me but with moving looks like small mark on heel as pictured
