This charming vintage sterling silver and 14k gold peace dove brooch features a dove in flight with an olive branch wreath in its beak. The silver dove and gold olive branch both have polished finishes that catch and shine in the light. The back of the dove bears the hallmark Sterling BAB, and the wreath is marked 14k. BA Ballou of East Providence, R.I. was one of America's oldest jewelry manufacturers that was founded in in 1876. The brooch is approximately 1 7/16 inches long, 1 5/16 inches wide and weighs 8.85 grams. The pin is straight, and the clasp is in good working order. This brooch is in excellent preowned vintage condition and is ready to wear at Christmas or year-round.
