This is an authentic Vivienne Westwood jacket from a line of uniforms she designed for Virgin Atlantic cabin crew! A rare collector’s item that was never for sale to the public, as displayed in aviation museums… The design of this jacket is reminiscent of vintage uniforms from the 60s and 70s - feminine and powerful thanks to the vibrant red color, fitted waist, peplum cut and defined collar. Gold-tone hardware, slightly padded shoulders, plum-colored lining with logo embroidery. Tagged size 8P (8 Petite) but this must be vintage sizing (or maybe UK sizing?), it runs much smaller than that, like a modern US size 0-2. Measurements (laid flat and buttoned): 14” shoulder to shoulder, 16“ pit to pit, 13“ across waist, 17 1/2” across bottom hem, 19 1/2“ long from shoulder to hem. Amazing condition, barely worn, some slight surface scratches on the buttons, one tiny faint mark on right bust area as shown in close-up photo (with my nail pointing at it). Otherwise pristine!
