Straight from the streets in Berkeley California: an authentic hand tooled leather boho saddle bag type purse, with mushroom details. Purchased circa 1968. Everyone carried this type of purse in the 70’s. They were hand made and sold by street vendors that lined Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley during that era. This one has mushrooms carved into the front, a sort of symbol of the hippy era, and is especially large, measuring 11 inches at its widest point, and 8 inches tall. The leather is thick and rich, with the construction intended to last a lifetime. Toad has loved this bag because, hey, mushrooms are pretty close to “toadstools”. Secret? Toad used to be a hippy!
