The 850/001 sunglasses were one of the first styles produced after the launch of the company in the mid 1980s, with a French composite frame and iconic Revo blue mirror mineral glass lenses that employed glare reduction technology from the NASA space program. The black matte frame is a perfect complement for the highly reflective blue mirror lenses. Revo logo on a gold tab on the exterior of both ear stems near the hinges. The unisex Revo 850 frame measures approximately 5.25" temple to temple, and Revo blue mirror lenses measure approximately 2.125" x 1.875" at the widest points. The earliest production of this style did not have a model number and as model numbers were introduced the inside of one ear stem was then marked 850 001 Frame France. I’m not exactly sure of the production date but these are in great condition considering they’re possibly 40 years old. There are visible scratches on the lenses but none that interfere with your vision when worn. You still get that fantastic Revo warmth and clarity from the polarized lenses. If I didn’t need prescription lenses I would most definitely keep them.
