Maybe it is a good thing that my shell like this did disintegrate, as it caused me to look for a protectant for faux leather, maybe with that product I can buy some of my other faux leather shells a bit more time,...

racull12 I guess sometimes with certain items it is a bit of a learning situation,.. Like, with me collecting vintage boots, I loved the look of "Pony hair" boots,..( actually made of cow hair, of course ),... But I found with wearing them just a couple of times how fragile they are, there were bald hair spots with just a couple of wearing,... So, that made these gorgeous boots not so practical,..( for me , anyway ),.. OK, sorry to ramble on,... Thanks again !

pinksquirrel17 @racull12 Hi, I suppose, the older I’ve gotten, I’ve definitely learned to enjoy the things I buy, and not save things for special occasions. We just don’t know how many more special occasions we will get, so it’s best to use it while we have it. The purse I really liked where the leather peeled away, I can still see it perfectly in my head! Luckily I found a new fave, and yes I have it in 3 different colors! Have a good evening!

Yes, I agree about when you find something, get more than one of that great find,... I really like Ariat brand of clogs, but only in their older styles, as I think the new styles look more like a man's shoe,... So, when I had found them , used , but in good condition , I bought them.

I’m guilty of too many sandals, which is dumb considering I live where I can only wear them 5-6 months of the year. But, my feet hurt a lot, even after surgery on both, so I switch shoes a lot. Plus, I like to match my outfit! 😄 I’m curious, how much did you pay for shipping? I’m not sure what the posh discount is.

It could be from a number of things,...( I was a food server in fine dining for 20 years, maybe carrying those really big trays, ( stacked with 9 dinners at a time ), screwed up my back ? ),.. racull12 I have some nerve danage in one foot, but I remember a doctor telling me that he thought that the fix, ( surgery), was worse than dealing with the nerve damage,... I like you, love to match things,... I have a lot of vintage bracelets, and I like to match them with outfits,..( as too , with so many of them, I have altered them, with changing out the stones to be prettier colors than the way I bought them....etc. ),..

racull12 I think what we wear can be a fun way to express ourselves,...so I am all for it,... I would love to learn to make my own shoes,... Seems like a person could make interchangeable tops for their shoes or sandals, with maybe using magnets,... I have a book that tries to walk you through making your own shoes,... The lady that wrote the book, it all started with her wanting shoes to match her outfits,.. I am always amazed at how creative people can be !

Years ago I started collecting vintage coats,..( like, 40s swing style coats ), and that lead me to collect vintage brooches, to wear on the vintage coats,... pinksquirrel17 @racull12 Thanks for the info. Closet clear out is a pretty good deal. Now you’ve got me wondering if I need to check out Ariat clogs! 😀. Making your own shoes, that’s interesting. I think I heard of that briefly, a while ago, but I’d be concerned about durability. Though, might be very convenient and possibly take up less room.

racull12 I went a bit nuts, like I think I mentioned for the older styles of the Ariat clogs,... They were not cheap new,... I think they were about $150,.. But they are very well made, and I sure have gotten some deals on pairs that look barely worn at all,... In my days as a food server, I bought a lot of Dansko clogs, and I do still have a lot of pairs of them,.. With the Dansko clogs I could get them cheap, sometimes they were not even ever worn,...

racull12 .....getting the Dansko clogs so cheap was due to people would get confused regarding the Euro sizing, and so often they would buy the incorrect size of Danskos, for themselves,.. I like the Ariat clogs so much better than the older styles of the Dansko clogs, as the Dansko clogs had a very heavy sole on them, that I have also found does not wear so great, as the older rubber soles on Danskos tend to crack, split open,... I do notice, now that Dansko has changed the soles on their newer clogs

racull12 If you do look into obtaining any Ariat Clogs, I feel that with this brand they run small, so you would need to go up a 1/2 a size,..( or that is how the older styles that I like fit, not sure how the newer styles fit ),...

racull12 I know that they do make shoes that have that convertible factor to them,..( with the tops of them being changeable, and with one of these styles even the heel height is changeable,.. But none of them have appealed to me, + they are expensive, the ones I have seen, anyway,...

racull12 That book I have on shoe making does give a person , I think, all the information that they would need to make their own shoes,... But she does seem to stick with a very basic pump style of shoe, which does not really appeal to me,.. But I do know that people can make their own shoes, as they even have kits for it, these days,.. And too, my grandmother had gone to a class that showed you how to make your own shoes.

racull12 With the Ariat clogs, like I mentioned, I only like the older styles of them.... They have a slightly higher heel than the newer styles,...( I think about a 2 1/2 inch wedge heel ),... Some people are very against buying used shoes, which does make sense,.. But I will only buy pairs that are in very good condition,.. But the older styles, I very much doubt are still for sale, new,...( I don't think the older styles are still being made ),..

racull12 I am so in love with the older styles of Ariat clogs as I think I have a bit of hard to fit feet, as I have sort of freakishly high arches,.. And these older styles of the Ariat clogs just fit me so well,... Years ago, I was at a craft fair, and I had a man make me a pair of leather sandals, and he was tracing my feet, etc,... And he kept talking about my high arches on my feet, it took me years later to realize that I think the guy had a foot fetish ,..ha ha

Regarding the nerve damage in your foot, have you heard of fascia blasting? It might help. It helps with my knee pain, though I started for vanity reasons (cellulite!) racull12 Hi,... Thanks so much for the information, regarding my nerve damage in one of my feet,...( I will look into that ),... When I had seen a doc about that pain, it was probably at least a couple of decades ago, so maybe ways to treat the nerve pain , back then, were more limited ? ),.. Regarding my back pain issues, I went through LOTS of injections, but none seemed to help,..but then I did have Radio Ablation done on it, and it was helpful,..

racull12 ,....regarding the radio ablation, though, I had wondered if it was only as good as the skill of the doc that did the procedure,... As the first time I had it I thought it really helped with my pain issues, but then with me having it , with a different doc doing it, more recently, I thought it was not helpful,... OK, sorry, I got carried away, but , yes, pain sucks,.. ( I feel for you , with what you go through with your pain issues ). I so appreciate your suggestion,.... Thanks again !
