icantdrv55 is clear quartz and Herkimer diamond basically the same thing? I know the Herkimer Is A clear quartz stone, but a real diamond.. your description sounds alot like what I see on Herkimer, that's why I was asking...😁

thejoflow @icantdrv55 hi, they are quartz crystals! But they are naturally double terminated as opposed to quartz which are single terminated. Herkimers grow with less contact to their host rock, allowing them to form a double termination

icantdrv55 @thejoflow ok, I guess that explains the almost identical descriptions. so with them not actually being sterling silver, will they turn brassy or copper? my ears are super sensitive unless it's real gold, sterling or surgical steel... unless it's something that won't turn

thejoflow @icantdrv55 I can ask what the underneath component is. It’ll take a day for me to get back to you. But from personal experience… these are 925 plates and haven’t changed colors on me. I have se it I’ve ears as well. I wear them out but take them off before going to bed or showering etc. although I have worn them in the ocean a couple times. And I haven’t had any issues.
