I started with the legs from a pair of jeans and made a box bottom tote bag. Then I created appliqués from flannel Pinup Girl fabric. Size 11 X 12” (see photos). 4” box bottom Lined with blue gingham The handles were made from a web belt. The appliqués have been both fused and zigzag sewn into place. They will not peel off.
