These are solid wood, not bamboo! 22 solid hardwood geometric shapes used professionally by illustrators, architectural designers and painters to see how light works on different solid shapes – AND used by children for hands-on learning. This set is built to last for years. Paper shaped cutouts are in their own envelope (not sure how professionals might use these). Both are contained In a dovetailed wooden box with brass hinges and closure. Box top has a slight blemish on top, see picture. There may be a slight musty smell. Purchased in the 1980s and gently used a couple times by my artist husband. When I researched this on the internet, I did not see another quality set like this.
