A vintage glass Cory Dru vacum Brewer coffee maker. Glass is in great condition and has no chips or cracks. There is some minor cracking on the rubber gasket. The whole piece is very clean and looks like it has never been used.  The vacum brewer works by boiling water in the lower half of the pot. Once boiling the upper half is attached onto the lower half. The steam in the lower half expands and pushes water up through the tube and glass filter into the upper bowl where the ground coffee is. When the hot water and coffee are mixed together in the upper bowl, the lower half is removed from heat. As the lower bowl cools down it causes a vacum to form and drags the brewed coffee down through the filter tube and into the lower bowl. Sound complicated?
