DYSON SCAMMERS!! CAREFUL OF FAKE DYSON HAIR TOOLS!! Recently lots of fake accounts selling Dyson hair tools 1/2 off. Don’t fall for!! Report their accounts & these replica products!! These are mostly fakes!! Replicas!! Scammers are buying fakes ones off of websites like Temu for around $20-35 & reselling them for just below the price of the real ones! Also look at the sellers! Do a reverse image search of the sellers pics. Sometimes they’re using photos from popular influencers or stealing pictures but changing the names or using girls pics with boy’s names! Also notice how some are not showing pics of the actual product outside of the box or a quick blurry photo of product still inside box, so you can’t spot the difference between real vs fake. Save your $$ either get the real deal or get same crap for cheaper from Temu! Here’s pics of how to spot fakes vs real from Reddit. Look at their reviews. Are they new accounts/sellers. Does their name not match profile? Are they only selling one item or now kids stuff? Are the pictures generics? Are they showing details of the actual item or just outside box pictures? Are they answering questions or proving authenticity? Also serial # isn’t proof of authenticity. You can register a real serial # on Dyson website multiple times. Can Ask for serial# in advance & call Dyson to ask how many times that # has been registered. If more than once, or already registered on a supposedly new device, it’s a scam!

My friend stupidly bought one of these fake ones that literally almost caught on fire and burned a section of her hair off and she had to cut her long hair into a bob to make it even. So that’s why I’m posting warnings!! Easy way to tell is look at the ventilation holes. Fakes are perfectly round & close together vs. the spread out almost honeycomb like shape.

dalemacaz @struggling_2010 yes, I knew she was a fake. When I asked about the 4 she had listed, she deleted 2 of them. No one is going to sell something expensive for so cheap! I bought a knockoff Dyson hairdryer on Temu… it was so cheap! Like a toy almost lol. I sent it back. There are so many scammers on posh 🫤. Thanks for the info!!

mbt_2022 @dalemacaz oh that’s a relief! A lot people are buying them and wasting their $$ so trying to lookout for others. My friend bought a fake one that burned her off. These fakes can even cause a fire. Most of these scammer accounts have now blocked me from commenting. So now I’m messaging interested people to warn them. Glad you know it’s a scam too!🤗

pinktenaj I see these all the time and report over and over but they’re still up😡. Girls pics and boys names is a dead giveaway and no reviews. I try to warn people on their page because I’ve commented under these and had my closet hacked, comments under my listings saying they were fake, I don’t even have any high end items in my closet that could be fakes😳. It’s too bad that they don’t take these scams down! Thanks for all you do to keep other poshers from falling for this scam!

mbt_2022 @pinktenaj yeah I always comment that these are fake on the listings too. I worry about retaliation but so far only been blocked. That’s crazy that you were hacked!! So sad. I always see tons of likes on items that are scams, like can’t people tell?? That’s why I created this post so people don’t fall victim. But sad that they’re allowed to stay up 😡😡😡

pinktenaj @struggling_2010 Absolutely! I warn them in their personal closets as like I said I’ve had mine hacked by these scammers. I think a couple may have gotten irritated at me for reaching out and warning them😳. I like you are just trying to help but it’s up to them if they need our warnings, all we can do is try and I report them every day I see some have been removed so I guess that’s progress!

mbt_2022 @pinktenaj That’s reassuring. I haven’t noticed anyone removed yet, but new accounts are popping up left and right and they’ve wised up and a few have other things for sale in their closet to distract from the Dyson scam. They’ve wised up not have the Dyson as the only thing listed.

I shared one of their listings before I saw that now I always scan down before I follow and share. I’m sure there are new ones popping up, these scammers are relentless!

mbt_2022 @pinktenaj exactly! I’m seeing them sell toys too! Zero Shame. They used to use pictures of famous influencers, but after this post about only having one item in closet and telling people about how they’re using influencers pics & not real people. Now they’re using more family friend photos of moms or older women. But if you reverse image the pictures, many of the images are random social media photos that don’t have same name as person listed on account😡😡

sandradiephouse @struggling_2010 thank you for the information. I am always suspicious of Sellers who do not answer questions. My Grandma said if it is to good to be true....it's not. Your post will help many. I am disappointed that Poshmark doesn't bring the hammer down of these people.

Most of these scammers have blocked me for alerting potential buyers, but the ones that have bought are all fakes as they can’t even scan the QR codes! The vent holes are the easiest way to tell between real vs fake. Most of the fake ones hide them under tissue paper so can’t see it.😿

They blocked me on their listing but wanted you to know that Dyson was a fake anyway!! 99% of the new Dyson for sale on here are fakes. Those that are buying them are getting scammed. If it doesn’t scan or bring you immediately to the Dyson website, it’s 100% a fake and you can get your money back from Poshmark just based on that! These fakes are only selling for less than $50 on sites like Temu.

mbt_2022 @litha1120 hi, I saw on a listing you sent an offer on a Dyson air wrap. That Dyson is a fake. Just wanted you aware. If you already purchased and too late to cancel. Make sure you don’t accept the order when it gets delivered but scan the QR code. If it doesn’t scan or automatically bring you to Dyson website then it’s 100% a fake, so you can open a return case with Poshmark. All the best ❤️
