hempest Can’t quite tell from pics…is the silk a charmeuse/satin weave or a little heavier weight, like a lightweight twill? Think, at least, crepe can be ruled out from the close up pic. Thanks kindly~

hempest @diana59 maybe I didn’t word it quite right? Habotai is a very lightweight twill that is sometimes very similar to satin, depending on the weight of course, still smooth & shiny like satin, the threads that are woven are just a bit thicker, w a slightly different process, that gives it a tad more structure & the vertical weave lines are more visible than satin.

hempest @diana59 w the darker shades in the pics, I can’t make out either, so I’m asking which it may be since all 3 mentioned are lightweight, w crepe usually less shiny & not as smooth, but doesn’t seem to have the light reflecting features of crepe, so was curious if you could positively ID it as one of the other. Ty

diana59 @hempest Hi! Thanks for the explanation, but I’m still not sure how to answer your question correctly. What I can say is that the tag says 100% Silk and it’s dry clean only. It’s soft and the inside of the blouse is shiny and the outside of the blouse is not. I did update the photos. Please let me know if you have any questions.
