Cathy Hardwick Black Velvet Dress

Gorgeous strapless vintage Cathy Hardwick dress, I had it professionally altered to remove some of the lower fabric to make a smoother profile. Satin hanging straps. Has invisible zipper. Sumptuous black velvet, was certainly expensive at time purchased. No marked size- it’s Small, see measurements in last pic. Could be part of a Costume for Halloween (Sorry pics aren’t better, will retake at some point) I followed a woman around in a store who had this dress, (there was only one) and convinced her to trade with me, I loved it so much!) She was buying for her daughter, I knew she couldn’t wear it. My sister in law is a professional seamstress, and I had her remove some of the fabric below the waist, there was too much and bunched up. Much smoother look when finished.
