Tuxedo Cat Wall or Furniture Art, very good used condition! Tuxedo Cat is the art of by Walter Eres. This unique art is ceramic tile mounted to particle board with a hanger as well as a furniture display piece already intact. Not too big, not too small, at 8" x 8". Beautiful vibrant red background with black and cream or white colored cat that has blueish green eyes. Piece has some wear but nothing noticeable when it is displayed. Most significant wear is highlighted in last picture, one craze line which does not reach the surface of the art.

monsterk111 Out of curiosity, how do you know this is an original? Also, are those scratches above the eye and on some of the other black parts? I can’t tell if that’s just the picture. And in the picture where you show there’s a defect, what exactly is wrong? I don’t see anything but do see that in your description you state that it has “one craze line that doesn’t reach the surface of the art”. What does that mean?

indigo_jazz @monsterk111 I don't know that it's an original, it was inartfully worded in the listing. If you zoom in on the last pic you'll see the line in the white area, it's in the material but not on the surface of the art. I recall that there are some scratches in the tile, I'd have to pull it out to answer whether they're what you're seeing in the pics but I do try to capture things like that in listing pictures.

monsterk111 @indigo_jazz ooooooooh I see that now!!! It looks like a crack underneath! So weird. Doesn’t matter though, you’ve priced it well. I wish I knew it’s authenticity though. But definitely would like to know if what I’m seeing in the black parts are just reflections from the camera or the way the pictures came out. I think your price is fair so I’m prone to but it, just want to know about those other marks I’m seeing in the pics.

indigo_jazz @monsterk111 the part near the eye is not a scratch, it was a smear on the tile (I went and got it out). There are, however, some light scratches on the piece generally (it is imperfect which is reflected in the price).

monsterk111 @indigo_jazz the marks I’m referring to are what looks like an h and a y above his eye and what looks like debris on his shoulder, in the black part. Particle board is why I was thinking it may have been bought at a cookie cutter place 😕 But I don’t want to let you down and not get it after all of this! So I will get it. Can you tell me if there is debris on the shoulder though?

indigo_jazz @monsterk111 I definitely don't see any h or y. I'm not sure which shoulder you're talking about but I don't see debris on either, there are some kind of smear marks in the tile but I had it displayed for a long time and unless you're right on top of it critiquing it, you don't see those things when it's displayed.
