Gorgeous Vintage Jimmy Hourihan Donegal Tweed Princess Coat from Ireland in romantic Edwardian Style.. Note the colorful flecks in the tweed inspired by wildflowers growing on Irish moors. 1) double breasted front w/ high neck keeps your chest warm for cold tracks across the windy moors, 2) full skirt with a generous pleat center back for easy movement. 3) half belt accents small waist in back, 4) large pockets in side seams, 5) voluminous sleeves, small waist, & full skirt create flattering feminine lines. 6) full cut allows room for winter clothing underneath. 7) Coat is fully lined in a dark red acetate fabric. 8) Two labels: the designer label & Donegal Tweed authenticity label from the Irish Government. This 100% wool from Irish sheep fabric is woven on wooden looms in the homes of Irish artisans, whose craft is protected from imitations by the government. This fabric now retails for over $100 a yd & such a coat takes over 6 yds to make. It is exceptionally warm & sturdy - meant to last several generations which it does.
