For your consideration is this absolutely adorable stuffed bear produced by North American Bear Company in 1987. This company was the brain child of Mrs. Barbara Isenberg, a mother who turned her hobby into a business. She was a lover of puns and used them to name each of her creations. This bear, named "Blackbeard", was a part of the company's VIB or Very Important Bear Collection. He is a soft black felt bear with what appears to be polyester fiber stuffing. He is wearing a Red Velvet Jacket with yellow piping and goldtone metal and hollow buttons, a yellow satin scarf tied around his neck, Multi-colored (Black, Yellow, Blue, Red, Purple) striped pants with elastic waistband and ankle casings, the same multi-colored scarf (matching the pants) tied around his head and covering one eye, and one single goldtone metal hoop earring. He has black plastic eyes and nose. There is no product tag sewn onto the bear but he does have his original hang tag. He stands approximately 21 inches tall and is in excellent condition. I have steam cleaned him so that he is clean and sanitized. It would make a great addition to any collection or a fun gift for any pirate or stuffed animal enthusiast.
