Rare 1955 #5526 vase in gold. This piece was designed by Wayne Husted in 1955 and then appears in the 1956 Blenko catalog as #5526. According to Wayne Husted's website, the first 2 digits of the catalog number indicate the year that the piece was made, and the last 2 digits indicate the sequence in which the design was developed. Items produced in "gold" glass were only produced from mid-1955 to 1958 (according to the Blenko Collector's website). This beauty glows orange in UV light, indicating the presence of cadmium. Visible pontil scar on the bottom. Measures approximately 8" tall and 5" across the top at the widest part. The screenshot is from the 1956 Blenko catalog found on their website.
