So I have been noticing more and more counterfeit high end skincare items being sold on Poshmark. It’s so bad even myself a long time SkinMedica user was sold one today 11/6/23. So important things to know: Most counterfeit SkinMedica products will have a 1/4 inch shorter bottom silver boarder. Genuine SkinMedica is always a perfect 1 inch and counterfeit is generally 3/4’s of an inch. Also the counterfeit boxes are slightly shorter than the genuine SkinMedica boxes. Lastly which is hard to notice is the color of the counterfeit boxes. They are slightly a different color than a genuine box. Obviously you would need a genuine box to be able to compare the color differences. So please everybody do not buy from these sellers!!! They absolutely ruin Poshmark for trusted sellers. Also you don’t know what products are in the counterfeit items. Hope this helps everyone who uses SkinMedica. Obviously the light blue box in my photos is the counterfeit item. I have noticed many TNS Advanced Serums with batch code 9FA3/8SD4 as counterfeit. I will continue to monitor the high end SkinMedica and flag all counterfeit sellers. I also believe there is a new counterfeit batch code that just came out. It’s 2BA3/2B03 09/26. mickjagger1982 @piers9 I know! Like 50 percent of the SkinMedica high end serums are fake on here. I luckily just order a definitely authentic HA5 this morning. You should see all the fake Chanel bags that say “authentic”. It’s like scammers paradise.

mickjagger1982 @hdykes876 There are lots of authentic sellers on here. Always ask before you buy. Also when you get it home and first use your SkinMedica products you should have to press the dispenser at least 8 times before the product dispenses. If your first pump gets product then it’s probably fake as well. Real SkinMedica is never “primed”

If so did you have to pump the bottle like 7 times before the product came out? If you did not have to pump it to prime it it’s also another thing that yells counterfeit

mickjagger1982 @kellidog444 no, just report it stating the bottom boarder of the box shows it’s counterfeit. Thames a photo of it with a ruler showing it’s not the full inch in length. Tell them it’s unopened and you want a refund. You will definitely get a credit. I did without any issues when it happened to me. Jensen ok I got it. My name is Nick

I have had some bad experienced with posher. I’m a patient person but my patients is running thin. Posh should be holding there Sellers to a higher standard (Buyer beware).

Unfortunately the listing showed the box with correct spelling and what seemed to be the correct size of the silver bottom but that isn’t what I received. Do you have any other tips for other products (lumivive, neck correct cream etc)? I’m concerned about products I bought in the past. Thanks again!

zutis123 Hi Mick, thanks for sharing info on the SkinMedica frauds. I bought one and was delivered with vitamin c serum oozing out the side of bottle last week. Taken care of though. Ended up purchasing from ever present which you spoke highly of & received it quickly with no issues, so thank you…And then within afew days of that I ordered the SKinMedica HA5 here on Poshmark from goodmanopal84/ well I never received the item & they never responded back to my messages after purchasing.

glamourgirls123 Authentic SkinMedica Cellophane wrap is thicker and loose around the box Counterfeit looks like is is literally shrink wrapped around the box. Thin and tight around the box. You can tell before you even open the box. Also HA 5 has a typo on the box the words retain moisture is all one word (retainsmoisture) ask for a picture of the back of the box. And come on people the price…if it’s too good to be true it is

6151richmond Another way to tell it’s fake is if they do not answer questions and do not take a photo of the bottom of box. I have left comments on many listings stating it’s fake but people still purchase.
