RARE 1960s Vintage JOHN MEYER Linen Skirt in PERFECT Condition (Never Worn) Tag went missing in storage, but string is attached to zipper. About John Meyer: "Designer John Meyer is a descendant from a Jewish family that emigrated to America to escape persecution in the 1800s.. His grandfather settled in New York and his skills landed him and other family members jobs in the garment district. John's father Isaac, became involved in the textile mills of Connecticut which is where John's business took off ( after he served in World War II). His goal was to design and manufacture quality garments to the college towns of New England and contributed greatly to the Preppy/ Ivy League look! He died young at age 52 of cancer."
