Rare Almon Baldwin(?) Signed Oil Painting Landscape Mountain Lake Nature

Small vintage / antique / 19th century framed signed oil on canvas painting of nature scene featuring mountains, lake, and trees. Signed “Almon” possibly for Almon(d) Baldwin. Almon(d) Baldwin, a landscape and marine painter, who also did portraits, was born in Connecticut in 1800, and by 1814 had moved with his family to Cincinnati. Baldwin started out as a house painter, became a sign painter, then an artist, and finally a curator of the Western Art Union from 1847 to 1849. Baldwin was primarily a landscape and marine painter, but is also known to have painted portraits as well. Only a few of his landscape paintings have been located, and one is in the Cincinnati Art Museum. Please note: the signature matches with Almon Baldwin but I cannot confirm 100% if it actually is his signature. Some signs of wear noted to frame as seen in pics.
