candidknots @blujay2024 hello, I reccomend washing every 7-10 days. anytime You shower, just tie them up and out of the way unless you're washing them. When washing them, use a paraben free shampoo. So that it does not cause build up. Scrub your scalp. Do not scrub the dread. Let the water run over the dreads to clean them. Rinse very very, very, very well then rinse again.

candidknots @blujay2024 Only downfall, in my opinion of synthetic dreads is when they are wet. They are very very very heavy. They also drip dry, so it's a little bit annoying. You can always use a blow dryer on cold, not on heat. To speed up the process. They are very easy to maintain overall.

candidknots @blujay2024 Most of my clients after an install, leave them in for about 3 months. You can use the same set over and over again. I usually recommend every 3 months. Take them out for 1 week. And then you can put them back in some clients. Do it religiously every 3 months. Some of them do it for 3 months. Have them out for 3 months. Put them back in for 3 months ect. As long as you don't cut them or use any heat of any kind on them. They can last five ten years
