Antique Victorian Garnet Star Brooch

Antique Victorian Garnet brooch. This three-tier natural gemstone garnet brooch is beautifully crafted in the form of a star or snowflake. It is a lovely size at 1 1/2" diameter. The estate antique pin closes with a hinged pin stick and safety clasp. I believe the metal to be Gold Gilt that was commonly used to set garnets in this era. The January birthstone pin is in good condition. No missing garnets as far as I can tell.
