This is a swirl devil face jug from folk artist Albert Hodge from Vale, NC. It has his signature stamp & location stamp on both the back & bottom. I am not sure the date of this piece as I am not the original owner but brought it from a consignment shop. He has artwork in the Smithsonian. A must have for any serious collector of NC pottery. Mint condition no flaws.
