Raised beadwork Iroquois triobe heart-shaped pincushion c. 1850-1900. Typically stuffed with pine sawdust or sweetgrass. Iroquois Confederacy tribes created many beadwork whimsey forms to appeal to Victorian women, who loved to buy these souvenirs. Triobe pincushions were a favorite of the Seneca tribe.
Dimensions: 7” H x 7” W x 1 1/2” D.
