Own a piece of downtown Detroit's history from the iconic Hudson's Department Store. Opened from 1911 through 1983, Hudson's was the tallest department store in the world, and 2nd in size to Macy's in NYC. The 17-floor store featured over 200 departments, 51 elevators, 700 fitting rooms, and served thousands of meals a day at multiple restaurants. Unfortunately, it closed its doors in 1983 and was demolished in 1998.
These men's box toe monk-strap leather shoes were handmade in Italy in 1969, imported, and sold at the Hudson's Men's Store department.
They have a soft leather inside, a patina calfskin leather outer, and a 1 1/8" stacked wooden heel. The inside is stamped with a typo "importeb from Italy by" which adds to their character. They are a size 8 1/2 C, so some measurements are listed below. They come in their original dustbags and have been kept in great condition over the years. Please review all pictures prior to purchasing!
