This pair is : Trash Birdie No. 1 🗑️🐦‍⬛ These are my original designs and concept. I’ve been designing and creating recycled jewelry from plastic bags and packaging for nearly twenty years. In the past I have sold them on Etsy and at local art fairs. I am regularly asked about my earrings while out and about and they have become a conversation starter on many occasions. These earrings are made by fusing together layers of plastic packaging until it reaches a fabric like consistency, this process can be tricky because too thin will tear and too thick will become too hard to work with….it’s an art in more ways than one. It’s called Trashion, Fashion + Trash. MY TRASH BIRDIE DESIGN IS MADE WITH THE LEFT OVER SCRAPS FROM OTHER DESIGNS, AND ECO NEST OF SORTS. Each pair is unique, no two pair are exactly alike. One of the very best things about them is that they are SO lightweight you forget you’re wearing them PLUS if you like to wear big earrings but can’t do the weight ( me) these are a perfect choice. I often incorporate vintage jewelry findings into my designs which will occasionally show vintage wear and patina, I intentionally prefer the charm this look infuses into my designs. Each pair of earrings are new though and have only been tried on for photos. These earrings are extremely durable but should not be exposed to intense or prolonged heat and care should be taken to not let them get crumpled because they can crease if left in a squished or folded position.
