READ FULL DESCRIPTION Beautiful Trinket Box, Measurements are approximate and best guess at what this is made of. Heavy for its size. I cannot tell with 100% certainty what this is made off, but can provide you the details I do know and more pictures if requested. The box measures on the external 3.5 inches wide, 1 3/4 inches tall. The interior box is about 2.5 inches and 1 inch deep. The box weighs 13.5 ounces. It has a hinged lid, gold toned. Purchased with some jewelry from an estate sale, everything was circa 1950-1960's so I assume this will be the same. The color has various shades of greens, whites and some browns, with black specs/lines throughout. There is some translucent areas when held up to the light. I tried to take pics to reflect that. There is a small chip on the top corner and a few dips if you run your fingers around the base and bottom. Considering the age, it is in above average shape I would say. There is one crack that looks to have been masterfully repaired, which also makes me think this is a quality item. The crack is on the back of the bottom portion, and I did not notice it until I began cleaning and holding up to the light. Very well made no matter the material it is made of. I tried to do the basic tests to see what the heck this is made of but I really do not know for sure. Jadeite, Nephrite, Alabaster who knows! Definitely not glass or plastic.
