Barn quilt paintings originated almost 300 years ago in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands as a way to honor a loved one with a piece of artwork. During the Revolutionary War they were used to show American forces that an area was safe, secure and supplies were available. I’m not that old but I am a 76 year old woman who’s loved spotting barn quilt paintings on outbuildings while traveling around the country. So I decided to paint some for others to have and enjoy. Mind you there are some imperfections since I hand draw and paint them. NO paint by numbers for this old gal! Acrylic artwork is on a 12” X 12” canvas stretched over a wooden frame. Signed and dated on the back. Also looks good displayed on an easel. INDOOR USE ONLY!
